For many of us busy working moms, daily prayer can definitely feel like one more thing on an already overflowing to-do list.
Between early morning alarms, back-to-back meetings throughout the day, dinner prep in between rides, and family (and pet) care in the evening time, moments of silence feels impossible, but what I have learned is that prayer isn’t about perfection, it’s about presence. Prayer is not about saying the right words or sitting still for long stretches, it’s about showing up, again and again, to meet our Father and Creator, the One who loves us most.
I summarized this most wonderful article on Ascension Press, The Ultimate Guide to Prayer From Fr. Mike Schmitz, for all of you busy moms out there so you don’t have to!
