All the museums in Washington D. C. (and more)

How mind-blowingly fantastic is this website of all the amazing museums in in America?!

All these years, I had no idea we had so many options.

What a great list of all the museums and galleries in Washington D.C. (peek at the categories below)!

The website lists all the museums by category, complete with location, admission fees, and links to the museum websites, along with “highlights” so that you don’t have to do all the research.

And the cool folks behind Museum Hack also offer small-group, “fast-paced, story-based” family tours, public tours of the museums and galleries, and corporate events, such as custom company team building, “in NYC, SF, DC, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Philly, and consult with museums on audience engagement.”

I have to say, we have been to all of the tourist attractions, but don’t go out to D.C. as much as we should given the proximity (less than 25 minutes by car).

When the boys were young, we enjoyed Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, International Spy Museum, National Air and Space Museum (the one in Northern Virginia is even better!), National Museum of African American History and Culture, National Museum of the American Indian, National Gallery of Art, and of course, the Lincoln Memorial, and have recently enjoyed Renwick Gallery with Aaron, and we are excited to go see what the Museum of the Bible, Saint John Paul II National Shrine, National Museum of American History, National Museum of the US Navy are like.

I have read that the National Postal Museum is a gem, so we will be checking it out, as well.

Oh, and I suppose I’ll have to write a post about going bowling at the White House last fall! Aaron absolutely approved, he said it was “so cool.” 🙂
